A small technique to put yourself in a better frame of mind

sometimes even if you feel everything is going wrong and will go like this, when you feel that there is no way that you can come out of a situation, for all those days when you do not see any light, 



take a pen and a paper and start creating a story that you would like to live. you need to focus on the valuables in life and not the measurables. 

(may be you can think of a dream job where you your services are loved by your customers and not something like "the highest paid job that I can get"; may be things like a fulfilling relationship which can pass all waters rather than meeting someone who can fit into your measurable parameters). 

you should continue to write and write, and after a while you would feel as some of the tension off your shoulders relieved and yourself in a better frame of mind. 

this happens as your brain starts thinking in a positive direction and as it focuses on the better, your thought process gets channelized in a different direction than where it currently is. 

as that makes you feel better you start a cascading cycle where you want to feel more and more better and you come out of the depressing state.
