Law of attraction is the universal law of nature. Every action
has an equal and opposite reaction. If I smile at someone, he will reciprocate
by smiling at me back even if we both are strangers to one another. If you see
an angry face you yourself will absorb some of that energy and will not feel
good. The way how we know the law is through new age deliberate creative use of
the law to manifest our dreams and desires. We all have read countless books on
the law and seen the famous video “The Secret” which has been a great hit of
all times. Still more people are continuing to discover and benefit by the law.
A question that keeps me pondering is that does law of attraction contradicts
astrology? Law is about how we can manifest our desires through our intent
matching pure positive source energy. Whereas astrology and especially
predictive astrology tells us that planets influence our lives and its
dimensions in a certain way and orient our lives in some predestined direction.
Then the question that comes is that can a person by way of deliberate creation
alter his destiny? If that be so then both the law and astrology are
contradictory to each other.
But we need to understand that astrology has its
limitations. It is that a few people in order to market their services have
actually exploited this science. Astrology tells us the “energy DNA” of a person,
that is, the kind of energy a person is born with. I believe that when the soul
enters life it decides the experiences that he/she wants to have in this
physical dimension and hence it is his intention which chooses the time of
birth.
In astrology the time of birth is usually calculated from the time the
child is separated from the mother (umbilical cord) and takes its first breath.
This first breath makes him a separate individual with its own life and the
cosmic energy enters for the first time in him/her. The spatial orientation of
the planets at this time makes up the cosmic energy imprint on his horoscope. The
sum total of this energy makes up his complete personality. This makes up his
innate nature-His raw energy.
But as the person progresses in life his own
conditioning in his social environment, his learnings and his own karma also
cast an influence on him.
Now when this person deliberately or otherwise starts
to harness pure positive energy, or activate the law of attraction he comes in
contact with the source energy, with his own inner self. This energy starts
manifesting in his life as his attitude towards life changes.
The more he benefits
by the soothing touch of the energy more he connects to his inner self. The more
he does that, the more the vision becomes clear and he realizes his calling, he
discovers his excellence and his higher pursuit.
In other words, he is now
beginning to orient to his real nature, his real reason for being in this life.
His energy now comes in synchronicity with the cosmic energy that is given by
his planetary position. So the two are not opposite to each other but in fact
aid each other.
Our problem and confusion arises when some astrologer let’s
say predicts some real hard times in our life or financial difficulties. But law
never says you cannot manifest anything at any time.
First of all there is a lot of problem in
predictive astrology. It can only predict the natal position of planets in your
chart and hence the kind of limitations or alleviations they may be able to
give you. But it cannot predict your responses to those circumstances.
Suppose we
approach such times with the thought that no time is tough time, it’s just a
time for learning since learning can happen more in innovative or stressful
conditions. Now if we try to remain
positive and generate good vibes and try to work for new solutions that these
times require, we already have changed our innate nature and are now a
different person. So when the person does not remain the same how is it
possible that the planetary influences remain the same.
And then by working
towards the solution we also activate another universal law, that is, the law
of karma. Karma is a Sanskrit work which means “you reap only what you sow”; “As
your deeds so will be the results”. We have been constantly creating new karmic
deeds in our lives. So when we work diligently in some direction we rise above
our fate and create new fate for the future.
Second thing, one should be
cautious about the astrologer he/she is consulting as his own mental
disposition will influence the kind of things he will tell you which will then influence
your mind. So chose your astrologer also wisely, and then only focus upon your
strength and weaknesses from your natal charts or take directions for life if
going for predictions. And then, slowly and gradually build upon our strengths
and figure out how to use our weaknesses too so that they may become blessings
in disguise.
